Genji Monogatari - Murasaki Shikibu
Akanesasu hikari wa sora ni kumoranu o
nadote miyuki ni me o kirashikemu

Genji Monogatari - Murasaki Shikibu
Futakata ni iimote yukeba tamakushige

A Chinese robe, and again a Chinese robe, a Chinese robe—over and over, turn it as you will, it is a Chinese robe again.
Genji Monogatari - Murasaki Shikibu
Urameshi ya oki tsu tamamo o kazuku made
isogakurekeru ama no kokoro yo
How it galls me that until this day of the diving for deep-sea weed she kept herself hidden among the rocks—this fisher girl of mine.
Genji Monogatari - Murasaki Shikibu
