Nowhere, I think,
is there a village untouched
by spring’s hue;
yet some blossoms bloom,
while others are not to be seen.

Meaning
There should be no village untouched by the colors of spring, and yet we see blossoms that bloom and others that do not—how can this be?
Commentary
Book II, Spring Poems (Part Two)

With the arrival of spring and the season of flowers, blossoms begin to compete in bloom; yet some do not bloom, as if there were places untouched by spring, and the poet wonders at this strange sight.
