Holding myself and
all others to be no more,
I have gone and cast
away a second time the
world I had cast away once

Meaning
Holding myself and everyone else to be no more, I have cast away a second time the world I had cast away once.
Commentary
Part Three: Tenarai

In the Ninth Month, while the nun was away, the Bishop of Yokawa stopped at the house on his way to the palace. Ukifune saw her chance, begged him, and took her vows at last. The nun came home and was aghast; the Captain, hearing of it, was cast down. Ukifune herself found peace at last, and set this down in her brush practice, counting her renunciations as two and looking back over the road she had come.

Naki mono ni is as one who no longer exists, said of the year she has lived while passing for dead. "Myself and all others" covers both herself and the people she left in the capital. "I have cast away a second time the world I cast away once" is the world abandoned by drowning and abandoned again by taking vows. Repeating the one word sutsu states the double parting.
