玉かづら今は絶ゆとや吹く風の
音にも人の聞こえざるらむ

Roma-ji: Tamakazura ima wa tayu to ya fuku kaze no oto ni mo hito no kikoezaruramu
English Translation: Like a jeweled vine,
is it now to break apart?
Of the blowing wind
not so much as a sound
of you ever reaches me
Meaning: Is our bond now to break off, like a trailing vine? Not even a whisper of news about you reaches me, faint as the sound of the blowing wind.
Commentary: Book Fifteen Love Poems V 762

Headnote: "Topic unknown."
With no word from her lover, not even a rumor as faint as the sound of wind, the speaker senses the end of the affair. The breaking vine and the sound of the wind are layered to vividly depict the silence.

The first line is an honorific name for a vine and a pillow word for "break off," since long vines snap.
The second line means "is it now to end?" Ya is a question particle resolved by ramu in the last line.
The third line serves as a preface leading to "sound." The wind is unseen, and only its sound arrives.
In the fourth line oto means both the sound of wind and news or rumor, and ni mo adds "not even."
In the last line zaru is negative and ramu asks the cause: why does nothing reach me? It resolves ya with the attributive form.
