しもとゆふ葛城山に降る雪の
間なく時なく思ほゆるかな

Roma-ji: Shimoto yū kazuraki yama ni furu yuki no ma naku toki naku omōyuru kana
English Translation: Tied with slender shoots,
Mount Katsuragi, where the snow
falls on and on, so
without a pause, at all hours,
how constantly I think of you.
Meaning: Like the snow that falls on Mount Katsuragi, you come to mind without a pause, at every hour.

Headnote: "Court Songs of the Bureau: An Old Yamato-mai Song"
Drawing on the snow that falls ceaselessly on Mount Katsuragi, the song tells of longing that never lets up. Yamato-mai was a dance handed down in Yamato, performed at the Great Thanksgiving and at the rite of pacifying the spirit. The song has the plain preface structure of an old folk song. No author is recorded.
The Ōutadokoro, or Bureau of Court Song, was the office that taught and preserved the ōuta, the songs performed at palace banquets and Shinto rites. Book Twenty of the Kokin Wakashū gathers such songs, arranged as court songs of the Bureau, songs of the kagura, and songs of the East.

The first line, "shimoto yū," is a pillow word for Katsuragi: tying slender shoots (shimoto) with vine (kazura) calls up the sound kazura.
The second line, "on Mount Katsuragi," names the peak on the border of Yamato and Kawachi, a fitting place name for a Yamato dance song.
The upper lines through the third, "as the snow that falls," form a preface leading to "without pause, without season." The particle no marks a simile: like the snow falling thick.
The fourth line, "without pause, without season," means without break and at every hour, doubling a matching phrase to stress the lack of any gap.
The last line, "how I keep thinking," means that thoughts come of themselves, with kana marking exclamation. The beloved is not named, leaving the song open to be sung by anyone.
