Miscellaneous Poems 1321
Headnote continued from the preceding poem: "One hundred and ten love poems"
The heart that longs for you has become like a little child's, and I weep so easily now, the poet says.
Taking up "childish" from the preceding poem, it sings of becoming as quick to tears as a child because of love, frankly expressing love's power to strip away adult judgment.
First line, “kimi shitau”: longing for you.
Second line, “kokoro no uchi wa”: within my heart.
Third line, “chigomekite”: becoming childlike, echoing osanabite in the preceding poem.
Fourth line, “namida moroku mo”: easily moved to tears.
Fifth line, “naru waga mi kana”: kana is exclamatory.
