Headnote continued from the preceding poem: "Among poems on the gods"
The poet offers sacred streamers to the god of Iwashimizu Hachiman on Mount Otoko and prays that for countless ages the world may flourish as his lord wills. Kamo no Mabuchi marked it with a sign of praise.
The Ruijū text places it in its section of celebration.
Line 1 names Mount Otoko in Yamashiro, where Iwashimizu Hachiman stands.
Line 2 means "to the god, the offering," zo concluded by tsuru in line 3.
Line 3 means "I have offered," with a break after the line.
Line 4 means "for eight hundred myriad ages," turning the number of gods in the preceding poem into a span of time.
Line 5 means "as my lord wills."
